This bronze sculpture of the two wartime allied leaders was erected in Bond Street in 1995, on the fiftieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

The two men were very different in many ways. Churchill a former soldier and staunch Conservative while Roosevelt was a liberal reformer, but they enjoyed a close and personal relationship which is brilliantly reflected here.

It’s one of the few ‘seated sculptures’ in London and a great ‘selfie’ opportunity!
